Marine Teak International - SuperPrime Grade Teak

SuperPrime Grade

We source our teak independently and globally, selecting only logs that meet our high standards and specifications. By controlling our own supply chain from forest to mill, we are able to consistently provide the finest logs, lumber, and teak decking to our customers.

Marine Teak International is a company specializing in  Teak Lumber  particularly for the marine industry and has acquired an enviable reputation for supplying quality lumber and is fast becoming the preferred supplier of super yacht teak decking, margins and rails for two reasons: Length and quality.

Our timber is longer and straighter than most shipwrights have seen in years. As you know traditional quarter cutting of sawn logs have almost disappeared and with it, the skill to produce stable boards for decking. We still offer this traditional cutting service. We could provide up 6.5-metre nearly perfect teak to our customer.

Our Teak Lumber

Our Teak decking quality, quarter saw with a fine grain and specially selected, is following super yacht quality standards, with a uniform color and straight grained. The logs used on our production are of the highest quality available. Only naturally grown aged teak that has been selected by our own people and judged on super yacht quality is being used for the manufacturing of our decking

Ecology as an Opportunity

Teak is probably the best-protected commercial species in the world. Elephants are still being used extensively to extract teak because of their low impact upon the environment. Elephants do far less damage to forests than heavy caterpillars and other logging equipment. Teak is not a tropical rainforest species. It grows sparsely in mixed deciduous forests. In its natural environment there are only 1 to 5 trees per acre in the best growing areas but Burma established plantations in 1856 with the assistance of some very farsighted foresters who saw the need to treasure these renewable sustained yield resources for future generations. We sees no contradiction between ecological and economic demands. People and the environment have been the focus of our activities since the day the company was founded. A concern for the environment and safety are an integral component of every management task and every staff action throughout the value chain in order to satisfy the three basic requirements of sustainable development – which may be summed up as “profit, people, planet".

Marine Market

We maintain strong relationships with key suppliers often on an exclusive distribution basis. We have a focused team with specialist knowledge of our trade sector.A recommendation to owners: if you are building a mega-yacht now or plan to do so in the next five years, purchase your wood now and set it aside. It will be dried and ready when the time comes. You do not have to accept short lengths. The best is still available.
